  The sound of waves and the light reflected on the water

  Katsuura is one of Chiba's foremost fishing towns. The fireworks display held at the port of Katsuura, about 40 minutes from Marugayatsu, is the finale of the Katsuura Wakashio Festival held every year in the second week of August.
  The best part of the fireworks display is that it is at sea and light of the fireworks reflected on the surface of the water. It is beautiful looking up at the sky and down out to sea.
  In between the fireworks, there is the sound of the waves. It is sure to be a wonderful night.

  Fireworks on the sea, different from big cities

  The number of fireworks launched at the Katsuura fireworks festival is 2,000.
  Compared to urban fireworks displays, this is not a large number, but rather small, comparatively.
  However, you can see fireworks such as "musical fireworks" and "underwater fireworks" that you cannot easily see in other places!
